Vaping is a new trend amongst young adults. Over the past decade, we’ve seen the vape industry grow exponentially! Nowadays, you can find a vape shop on almost every corner. You see them as frequently as you would a gas station.

It has become a convenient way for smokers to replace tobacco cigarettes. But that’s not all! Some people like to use vaping to consume other types of herbal botanicals. From CBD, to THC, to nicotine – there’s many reasons why people enjoy vaping and prefer it over smoking.

Well, if you can use a vaporizer to consume other botanicals, can you safely vape Kratom? In fact, vaping Kratom is something people actually do! And it’s fairly popular too.

In this article, we’re going to answer some common questions by diving deep into the topic of vaping Kratom. We’re going to cover what vaping is and discuss whether or not vaping Kratom is your best option.

*Disclaimer: Kratom remains unregulated by the FDA, the authors of this text would like you to note that although this article contains many points regarding the use of Kratom, they should only serve as a piece of information - not medical advice.

Kratom is not intended to cure, diagnose, treat, or prevent any disease or condition.

Make sure to speak to a physician if you have questions before using Kratom.

Can You Vape Kratom?

Yes! You can vape Kratom. Most botanical herbs can be vaped.

Nonetheless, it’s extremely important to educate yourself about possible side effects and safety concerns before jumping in. Vaping is NOT the most effective means of using Kratom. As well, be sure to consult a physician before deciding that you want to try vaping. Your safety is of the utmost importance.

You’re probably wondering, how do you even vape Kratom? It seems absurd and impractical, but it’s actually rather easy. And there’s a couple of different ways you can do it.

  • Herbal Vaporizer - An herbal vaporizer uses dry plant material to produce vapor. You insert the dry Kratom and press a button to initiate heating. The ceramic heating chamber will produce the vapor.

  • Liquid Vaporizer - Manufacturers use Kratom Extracts combined with a carrier oil to create a mixture that can be loaded into a vaporizer (vape juice). Once loaded into the vape, it will use a battery-powered heating chamber to produce heat and turn the liquid into vapor.

    What is Vaping?

Vaping is inhaling vapor created by an electronic “cigarette” type device. The device heats your botanical of choice and turns it into a vapor, which the person then inhales.

Many people have gravitated towards vaping over smoking because it’s claimed to be safer, healthier. With a vaporizer, the substance is heated below the point of burning or “combustion”. It produces vapor instead of smoke.

    Is Vaping Kratom Safe?

Unfortunately, there has been very little scientific research on vaping. There’s no definitive evidence that proves vaping has serious negative long-term effects on your health. However, experts are convinced that inhaling a foreign substance will have some sort of effect on your lungs, regardless if it’s vapor or smoke. We think it’s best to stay on the safe side and not risk any potential damage to your lungs.

Why Vaping Kratom is NOT Your Best Option

Vaping Kratom is not a good idea and we definitely do not recommend it. We’ll tell you why.

First off, vaporizers use a form of electronic heat to create the vapor, but the high temperatures can actually damage the Kratom’s alkaloids making it less effective overall.

Secondly, Kratom is a substance that’s not regulated by the FDA. It’s up to the individual vendors to provide safe, quality products. But not all do. Some care more about money than the safety of their customers. It’s possible that a disreputable vendor could adulterate their vape juice with toxins and impurities. If you DO attempt to vape Kratom, please be sure that the vendor has a trustworthy reputation of supplying clean products.

So, why would you want to vape Kratom if you’re not actually getting the full effects? Or if there’s a possibility that you’re getting unsafe and potentially harmful products?

Luckily, there are plenty of alternatives. Consuming raw Kratom powder is much more safe and effective than vaping.

What is in Kratom Vape Juice?

The ingredients of Kratom vape juice will certainly vary. However, here is a general list of ingredients you’ll likely see included in a typical Kratom vape juice.

    • Propylene glycol (PG)
    • Vegetable Glycerol (VG)
    • Kratom Extract
    • Acetaldehyde, nitrosamines
    • Artificial flavoring

    Vaping Kratom vs. Other Methods

Although it is possible to vape Kratom, it’s not one of the most effective ways of using this special botanical. If you want to get the most out of your Kratom experiences, here are a few more practical ways to consume it.

    • Kratom Tea - Kratom Tea is the most common and effective way to use Kratom. It uses raw Kratom powder combined with water to create a tea-like beverage.

    • Kratom Capsules - Kratom Capsules are one of the most convenient consumption methods. Each capsule contains a measured amount of Kratom powder. They are great for those who dislike the earthy, bitter taste of Kratom.

    • Kratom Extracts- Kratom Extracts are concentrated Kratom alkaloids. They’re significantly stronger than raw powder. Extracts are great for those who need high potency in a small package. Plus, they typically come in a variety of fruity flavors! Yum! Happy Hippo carries multiple different Extracts, including tasty taffy chews!

    • Smoking Kratom (Not Recommended) - Smoking Kratom shares the same inconveniences as vaping, but more exaggerated. Smoking Kratom never became popular because it’s not very effective and it’s hard to find raw whole Kratom leaves. We recommend considering other options.

    Conclusion

Like we’ve said many times in this article, yes, you can vape Kratom. However, we do not recommend it. I know, I know… We probably sound like a broken record, but we really hope that you take this advice and avoid vaping Kratom!

There are other methods that are much more safe and cost-efficient. Here at Happy Hippo, we have our own preferred method of taking Kratom that combines traditional Kratom Tea and the “Toss and Wash” method. We recommend mixing your serving of Kratom Powder in about 4 oz warm water, stirring vigorously, (adding a splash of fruit juice is optional) and drinking it down quickly like a shot. We like this method because it’s simple and fast-acting. We’ve found this helps Kratom to resonate at its peak potential.

If you need something quicker, or if you’re on-the-go, we recommend trying Kratom Capsules. Simply pop a couple in your mouth and swallow them down with some water. This method is effective, but not as “fast-acting” because the capsule casing needs time to dissolve before the Kratom actually takes effect. Regardless, capsules are one of the best ways to use Kratom on-the-go.

If convenience and potency are your main desires, you’re in luck! We have these awesome Kratom Extract Shots that are small but mighty! There is 60mg of Kratom Extract per bottle that provides a tenacious energy boost. Better yet, they’re Sour Apple flavored.

All in all, as the consumer, it’s so important for you to do your own research before jumping in. It’s the only way you’ll know which method will work best for you.

I put my real name in and I do it proudly and unashamed. Kratom has not only saved my life but has saved the lives of hundreds of thousands today, millions tomorrow. Vaping kratom is not the best usage of powder, but is nonetheless a certain degree of taking kratom. Vape it? More power to you! I toss and wash bc In my experience it is the best way to absorb it quickly, maximize effectiveness, and do it on the downlow bc while it’s legal (and on my opinion is more healthy than McDonald’s or pizza hut which are also great but way worse for you – my opinion – we used to be able to do that but I’m sure this post will never see the light of day. The publisher of this article/webpage had their hands tied, but the content makes sense , as to the effectiveness of vaping vs other methods – it’s so sad we have to sit through this FDA-not approved therefore we have to condemn it BS. Not the fault of this publisher, just want to restate that. Sounds like the Federal Government has to find something wrong with A)Vaping B)Kratom C) Questioning the main directive (whether they have scientific data or not – after all, they are sure it can’t be healthy..) maybe they are right… Have they always been right? Do they need to tax the crap out of stuff they can justify to be contributing to the delinquency of our minors? It’s a business – but I’m not a doctor, I’m just someone who believes their eyes are a little more opened than they were 5 years ago.. it’s just an opinion… Remember when it was ok to give them?
